- Description
- The Social Security Administration has a requirement for a hotel that can provide the necessary services for a conference to be held in the Denver, Colorado downtown area on November 6, 2007 through November 8, 2007. For purposes of this acquisition, the downtown area is defined as any hotel that is physically located in close proximity to the Denver, 16th Street Mall shuttle service or is within a 15 minute walk from 1961 Stout Street, Denver, CO 80294. Sleeping rooms are not part of this acquisition, as attendees are responsible for making their own reservations for sleeping rooms. However, the facility must be able to accommodate 170 sleeping rooms for the nights of the conference. Travelers will start arriving at the hotel on November 5, 2007. The facility must be able to provide meeting room/ballroom space to accommodate 170 participants for plenary sessions, five soundproof breakout session rooms (each 700 sq ft), and audiovisual equipment to include LCD projectors, screens, electrical cords, carts, microphone and podium, flipcharts, and flipchart paper and markers. The facility must also provide full catering services for morning and afternoon breaks, one evening reception, and two mandatory lunches. The facility must be in compliance with the basic safety and ADA requirements recorded in the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS, sections 4-9) and the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG). Prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. Information regarding this registration can be found at http://www.ccr.gov/. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 regarding the acquisition of commercial items. This is a non set-aside. The North American Industry Code (NAIC) is 721110. The solicitation number SSA-RFQ-08-07- 0005 will be available for downloading on or about July 23, 2007. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
