- This procurement is set aside for Small Business Concerns Only. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has a requirement for dockside repairs to be performed at NOAA Marine Operations Center Atlantic in Norfolk, VA. The performance period will be 49 calendar days with a start date on or about November 20, 2007 and ending on or about January 8, 2008. This acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the NOAA Ship HENRY B. BIGELOW, a 209 foot, 49.2 ft beam (molded); propulsion is single screw, cruising speed 14 knots; crew size of 39. Vessel's homeport is Woods Hole, MA. Vessel will be available for inspection from August 8, 2007 to August 10, 2007 at Newport Naval Station in Newport, RI. Arrangements for inspections can be made by contacting Jim Stricker at 757-441-6717. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. This posting will appear on or about August 1, 2007. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract using sealed-bid (IFB) procedures in FAR Part 14. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency.
