- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) as supplemented with addit ional information included in this notice. U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground, Directorate of Contracting is contemplating the procurement of: (1 ea) NOAAPort includes (all channels), 3.7m AFC Az/El High Wind Reflector-Norsat 3120 PLL LNB, Lightening Suppressors, Connectors and other hardware, 250' of RG11/U Coaxial Cable-3.7m AFC Az/El High Wind Pedestal Mount, two external DVB-S modems, Dell 2900 Deskside, dual Xeon, HW RAID, redundant power-preloaded CentOS Linux and application software, mouse and keyboard, Dell E157FP 15 flat panel monitor. (1 ea) Installation of unit, including reflector on customer installed concrete pad, pointing, peaking, And setting up on customer network. NOTE: Contract Line Items are to be divided and numbered by Shipping Points of Origin (Solicitation shows suggested CLIN structure). All Pallets and or Shipments, individually, must have a line item. It is suggested that the last line item be for installat ion or any and all onsite work performed by the contractor. Please call or e-mail Contract Specialist Paul E. Co-ax Cable: Upon Award, Vendor will ship necessary length of co-ax cable to the customer for customer installation. The cable will not have connectors install. The cable is to routed and or buried by the customer in such a way as to leave 35 feet extra at the location where the mast is to be installed and 15 feet extra in the area where the computer is to be installed. 2. Pole: This ground based installation requires the Vendor to immediately ship the necessary pole needed for the reflector installation, along with a guide/instructions for the customer to pour the concrete base to secure the pole, to local ordinance spec s. The vendor will allow the customer enough time for the concrete base to cure before installation of systems commences. The customer is also responsible for grounding the pole. 3. High Wind Pad Kit: The Vendor will immediately ship a pad kit for use by the customer in constructing the concrete pad fore the ring based high wind mount. The customer is responsible for installing the pad kit, to local specs, w/ enough lead time for c oncrete to cure. 4. Free Standing Mount: Customer will pre-install will immediately ship the free standing mount components and ballast for the customer to install prior vendor arriving and installing the remainder of the system. 5. Lightning Suppressor: The Vendor will ship a single port lightning suppressor to be installed by customer per the instructions provided with the unit. Co-ax connections to the unit will be made by the Vendor, upon final installation. 6. Local Network: Local network information for configuring the NRS computer determined and related to Vendor. 7. All hardware and product received from Vendor will be on hand when Vendor arrives to install/setup. Vendor will provide a S.O.W. detailing task to be completed by customer and Vendor both prior to Vendor starting installation, during and after, up until system acceptance. This is a notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Planetary Data Incorporated, 1848 County Road 28, Prague, Nebraska 68050. This is for one (1) each complete NOAAPort receiver system and installation thereof. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 ( c ) (1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, supplies, services and/or equipment are available fro m one responsible source and no other type of supplies, services and/or equipment will satisfy agency requirements. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Supporting evidence must be f urnished to demonstrate the ability to comply with the governments requirements. The solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Submit written offers on RFQ W911S6-07-T-0078. All firms responding must be registered with the Central Contra ctor Registration (CCR). North American Industrial Classification Standard 334111 (1,000) employees allies to this procurement.
