Description: The Description and Magnitude of Work is as follows: The work consists of furnishing one (1) dredge (hydraulic pipeline) and attendant plant necessary for the removal and satisfactory disposal of shoal material from the lower Mississippi River and So uthwest Pass within the limits of the work shown on the Contract drawings. Work shall be performed where directed by the Contracting Officer as determined by surveys in accordance with the provisions of these specifications. Dike restoration may be requi red but will be incidental to the contract. This is an UNRESTRICTED procurement. Estimated price range is between $5 million and $10 million. The solicitation issue date is approximately August 3, 2007. Bid Opening Date will be established by amendment. Fo r security reasons, all technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) system. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related informa tion for all Federal agencies. Interested bidders must register with FedTeDS before accessing the system.
