Description: NAVAIR has a requirement for ALQ-99 Low Band Transmitter (LBT) Product Support during Integration and Test to VX-23. Support includes: support for the investigation and correction of deficiencies associated with MIL-STD 1553 communications; installation and verification of LBT performance for Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) testing. NAVAIR intends to issue a sole source modification to BAE Systems Information & Electronics Systems, Inc. under contract number N00019-06-D-0008 to extend the period of performance through 31 December 2008. BAE Systems is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the LBT, and as such, is the only known source with the engineering expertise, skills, engineering technical data and in-depth knowledge to fulfill this requirement.
