Description
This request is for information only and is not a Request for Proposal. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Midlant, Norfolk, VA is hereby soliciting notices of interest from potential 8a, HubZone small business, Veteran Owned small business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, and small business sources to provide Gas Piping Maintenance and Repairs, at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to perform maintenance, repair, alteration, demolition and minor construction for the following: Building and Structures Maintenance-Natural Gas Piping. The work shall include preventative maintenance (PM) tasks that consist primarily of inspection, testing, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, calibration, and minor part and component replacement (such as filters, batteries, belts, hoses, fluids, oil and grease) as required to verify proper system operation; minimize malfunction, breakdown, and deterioration of systems and equipment; and maximize useful life. The proposed contract will be a single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity with an award-option incentive. IDIQ work may be ordered utilizing DoD EMALL. The term shall be for a period of one year. The government shall have the option to extend the term of the contract services for an additional period of one to twelve months. The total contract term, including exercise of any options shall not exceed 60 months. This is a new requirement for services. A Small Business Set-Aside is anticipated. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541990. The size standard is $6,500,000.00. Interested sources should provide a letter of interest via email in Microsoft Word format to: alisa.mahaffey@navy.mil. The letter of interest should include the following: 1) Name and address of firm, 2) Size, status, program, if applicable, (i.e., Small Business, 8a, HubZone, Women Owned, etc.) including type of business and total number of employees, 3) Ownership, 4) Year firm established, 5) Name of two principles to contact, include title and telephone number, 6) Brief description of previous experience that relates to this requirement. Include approved NAICS for your firm. All interested parties information should be received no later than 25 July 2007. This sources sought notice may be amended at a later date to include additional information.
