- Description
- US Department of Commerce/ National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1. The proposed source is LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC, BROOMFIELD, CO. The services being procured is highly redundant Internet access capability to all employees for research and data collection purposes and maintains a mission critical web site for economic data dissemination consisting of a fractional DS3 connection to the ISP and multi-T1 standby communication lines for redundancy that engages if the primary fails. This notice is being published for information purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotations received within 15 days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
