Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a contract to TNO Prins Maurits Laboratory on a noncompetitive basis to complete the following tasks: (1) Virtual inhibition levels of HuBuChE in plasma samples will be created by dilution of 50% inhibited serum with blank serum. (2) Three phosphylated nonapeptides, derived from the set of organophosphate pesticides described will be synthesized. (3) The synthesis of a carbamoylated nonapeptide will be evaluated by reaction of a suitably protected peptide derivative with a dialkylcarbamoyl chloride. (4) The developed methodology will be transferred to the CDC. It is imperative to utilize TNO Prins Maurits Laboratory for this contract. TNO has recognized expertise in butyryl cholinesterase adduct technology. Due to this experience, TNO is the only laboratory that can complete and deliver these items during the necessary timeframe. Furthermore, TNO is recognized as the only laboratory qualified to respond to a CT event involving butryrlcholinesterase adduct technology and is the only laboratory capable of synthesizing labeled butryrlcholinesterase adducts. The North American Industry Classification Code is 541720. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but all replies received within 15 days of publication will be considered. A determination not to compete based on responses received and to proceed with a noncompetitive award is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
