Description
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is in the process of evaluating facility readiness. To accomplish this, CBP intends to acquire software that will allow our offices to do risk assessment/identification with regards to the current stated of preparedness regarding the physical protection of facilities and real property. In order to accomplish the acquisition of this type of software, an evaluation of industry availability will be conducted through the use of this Request for Information (RFI). Note: RFI responses will NOT be shared with other industry suppliers and will solely be used as part of the contract planning process. Disclaimer: The following requested information to be provided is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Any contract that might be awarded based on information received or derived from this RFI will be the outcome of the competitive process. Any response to this request for information must include a discussion of the organization?s software with regard to the following Governmental Standards: a. US Border Patrol Facilities Design Guide, b. Interagency Security Committee Design Criteria (new construction and lease) c. Department of Homeland Security US Customs and Border Protection Airport, d. Technical Design Standards Passenger Processing Facilities, e. US Customs and Border Protection Design Standards for Cruise Ship, Passenger, f. Processing Facilities, g. US Department of Justice Vulnerability Assessment of Federal, h. Facilities, i. US Land Port of Entry Design Guide, j. Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 201, k. Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 12 l. Executive Order 12958 Classified National Security Information, m. 11000 DHS Management Directive series, n. Safeguarding Communications Security Facilities and Materials, o. Department of Homeland Security Open Storage Area Standards for p. Collateral Classified Information, q. Seized Assets HB 4400-01a. In addition to the discussion of the software?s relation to the above standards, a series of questions regarding capability must be answered. Please reference question number with each response as follows: 1. Company Name, Company Address, Point of Contact, Telephone Number, e-mail Address, and Size of your Organization (i.e. Large Business, Small Business) using as the basis for your response. 2. Responses should identify your organization?s experience with and capability with regard to Risk Analysis and software design/development. Explain core elements to your software package. 3. Provide a limited discussion of algorithm methodology for your risk mitigation software. 4. Provide a discussion of availability of the software and its ability to be placed on an intranet server for use by the CBP offices nationwide. 5. Explain the data formats that would be used and whether they can be uploaded into common software (i.e. spreadsheet or word processing formats). 6. Is the software being used by other government (Federal, State or Local) organizations (if so, who). 7. Responses should identify any current or potential future regulatory, security concerns.
