Description

The pre-solicitation notice for this action was posted on 20 June 2007 under W912PE-07-R-XXXX. Solicitation number W912PE-07-T-7166 supersedes W912PE-07-R-XXXX. The solicitation was released 13 July 2007 and is available on https://acquisition.army .mil/asfi. Sources interested in obtaining a copy of the solicitation may also email a request to Lisa Murphy at murphyl@marshallcenter.org. Proposals are due at 1400 on 27 July 2007. The George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies intends t o award a firm fixed price non-personal services contract for one position as an Adjunct Professor and Subject Matter Expert in the area of Defense Economics and Resource Management. The Marshall Center is an international educational institution funded b y the United States Department of Defense and the German Ministry of Defense. For more information see: www.marshallcenter.org. The contract will be for one base period of 12 months and one option period of 12 months. The anticipated period of performan ce for the base period is 7 September 2007 through 6 September 2008. The place of performance is Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany and countries within the Marshall Center area of responsibility. The contractor shall participate as a member of a traveling team designed to assess the security needs of countries within the Marshall Center area of responsibility; participate as lecturer and seminar leader during Marshall Center outreach events (to include but not limited to conferences, tutorials, seminars, wo rkshops, Regional Educational Team Seminars); lead seminars and present lectures in resident academic programs and as part of the speakers bureau; develop and present an elective course for resident courses; and develop a written work. Frequent travel to Warsaw Initiative Funds (WIF) eligible countries is required. The Government intends to use a best value trade-off process for award. The solicitation was released on 13 July 2007.
