- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W31P4Q-07-Q-0021 is being issued as a request for quote; however, the US Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to issue a sole source purchase order for annual sof tware maintenance and continued updates with SGI Federal for existing SGI machines. CLIN 0001 will be issued for a one year of annual maintenance for annual software maintenance and continued updates. Shipping costs for delivery shall be included in the quote as FOB destination for Redstone Arsenal, AL. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency, if received by 30 July 2007, noon (CST). Any award resulting from this RFQ will be issued on Standard Form 1449 and wi ll contain all clauses required by law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as appropriate for the dollar value of the award. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The solicitation/ resulting contract include the following provisions/clauses: Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial; Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items; Clause 52.212-4, Contrac t Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; and Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, are applicable to this acquisition. Offer is due not later than 12:00 noon, (CST), 30 July 2007, in the contracting office, Building 5400, Room B148, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, 35898-5250. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 1 2:00 p.m. local time on July 30, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this propo sed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
