Description

This solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about Wednesday, August 1, 2007. The National Park Service may award one or more contracts for this project. This project consists of upgrading current fire and security systems at Salem Maritime National Historical Site as well as the installation of new alarm system components. Work will include but is not limited to the following items: Security and fire detection system installation in Salem Maritime National Historic Site's museum storage areas. These systems will be used to protect irreplaceable historical, archaeological and archival collections. Security and fire system upgrades to current systems used at Salem Maritime National Historic Site. Security upgrades will be consistent with the recommendations of Law Enforcement Needs Assessment to include but not limited to the following five historic structures: 1819 Customs House, 1780 Hawkes House, 1762 Derby House and c.1800 West India Goods Store. All systems require complete security system upgrades to include control panels, key pads, and motions detectors. Security system upgrades will provide coverage to additional areas, more sensitive detection and the ability to provide more user codes. All work will be located at Salem Maritime National Historic Site, Salem, MA. The performance period for this work will be 120 days. The NAICS code being used for this project is 561621 with a small business size of $11.5 million. This solicitation will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Program. This solicitation is also subject to Full and Open Competition. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the agency.
