Description

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs medical Center (VAMC)-Iowa City, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Architecture/Engineering Services for A/E to Upgrade Mechanical Systems BW02 at the VAMC in Iowa City, IA. NAICS Code 541310, size standard $4.5 million. Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to provide A/E services as described in the Scope of Work, Qualifications and Services. The scope of work for this project shall include but not be limited to the design services for the replacement and possible relocation of the medical center fire pump and associated piping and controls. Project may also include the replacement of other mechanical equipment including HVAC equipment also located in BWO2. Firm selected will provide contract documents including architectural, mechanical and electrical. Existing architectural, electrical and mechanical components will require evaluation for replacement and/or size changes. A/E contract will include design (with reviews), reproduction of bid documents, construction period services, final inspections and as-built drawings. Estimated construction cost range is $100,000 to $250,000. Area of consideration: Firms must be located within 150 mile radius of the VA Medical Center, Iowa City, IA.
