Description

The US Geological Survey intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order to EST Analytical, Inc. of Fairfield, OH for Aquakem 250 Discrete Photometric Analyzer, Konelab/Aquakem Start Up Kit, Aquakem 250 12-month PM Kit, Installation and Familiarization and freight. Noncompetitive award is being made because this analyzer uses disposable cells, thus eliminating all risk of cross-contamination and carryover. Additionally, this instrument has a large cuvette magazine with cuvette capacity for 600 tests, and can be loaded at any time, providing uninterrupted operation. This instrument also is capable of sample dilutions up to 1:120, both pre-and post-analysis. And it holds up to 35 reagents (thermally cooled), and up to 13 removable filter positions, thus allowing for a wide range of analytical capabilities (i.e., different wet chemistry experiments to determine different analytes of interest) to satisfy needs of multiple studies and/or projects. EST Analytical, Inc. is the only known domestic source that can supply the required items. Delivery will be FOB Destination to Menlo Park, CA. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to the Contract Specialist by e-mail (rpaprocki@usgs.gov) no later than the response date shown in the announcement.
