Description: NAVAIR NAWCAD Lakehurst intends to issue an IDIQ Contract on a sole source basis with Smiths Aerospace LTD for maintenance and repair services of fielded V-22 Optical Blade Trackers. The Government intends to procure these services under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Section 6.302-1. Smiths Aerospace LTD is the original equipment manufacturer of the Optical Blade Trackers and is the only source possessing the requisite system knowledge, engineering expertise, aircraft integration information, and technical data needed to maintain and repair the specialized test equipment.
