Description: The Government intends to execute a six (6) month bridge extension to the Hawaii Information Transfer System (HITS) contract. The term of the bridge extension will be from 21 August 2007 to 20 February 2008. The HITS contract is the sole provider for all inter- and intra-base telecommunciations for the DISN customers in the State of Hawaii to include the Military Departments (MILDEPs) and other Federal Agencies. Continuation of these essential telecommunication services is considered mission essential until transition to the follow-on contract, Joint Hawaii Information Transfer System (JHITS).
