- The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin located in Tracy, CA has a requirement for 550 feet, 3/8? thick drive chain with steel hub, polyurethane bonded rollers for a Logan Tilt Tray Sorter 1. The Government intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to Product Handling Equipment, Inc. Buckner, KY. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Vonda DeBolt, Acquisition Operations, DDC-AB, J Avenue, Bldg 404, New Cumberland, PA 17070, Phone: 717-770-6145, fax: 717-770-7591 or email: Vonda.debolt@dla.mil for consideration by the agency. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be negotiated and awarded to Product Handling Equipment.
