Description
This is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source purchase, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) with Terumo Cardiovascular Systems for CVS Sarns 800 Perfusion System located in the OR. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the services that will satisfy the agency requirements. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by 3:00 p.m. EST, August 1, 2007. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notices is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. All inquiries must be submitted in writing with "Heart & Lung Machine" in the subject line; telephone inquiries will not be accepted, nor responses received after the close time/date. The applicable NAICS Code is 423450 (Medical Equipment, Merchant Wholesalers). The Government's requirements are as follows: 1. It is light weight to ensure no employee safety injuries occur. Patient safety is the utmost critical element about this machine. 2. It is belt driven, low flow performance when doing circulatory arrest on patients and giving ant, retrograde cerebral perfusion. 3. There are dual belts and dual tachometers to prevent runaway pump heads. 4. Back up computer board in case of main board failure. 5. One way hand crank in case of failure. 6. Safety, arterial and cardioplegia monitor displays (clearly displayed alerts and alarms (yellow=alert, red=alarms) state of the art technology equal or better to the competitive pumps. 7. Roller pumps can stand alone so you can switch them in case of the main art pump head failure which take over the function of the heart. Modular monitoring options etc. Any vendor believing that they can meet these criteria as well or better than the listed model shall contact the provided POC before the closing date to provide proof of their capabilities.
