519120  Libraries This publication serves as a notice that the Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) intends to issue a solicitation on behalf of the U.S. Army Center of Military History (CMH) to acquire services for electronic conversion and digitization services, program ming services, system sustainment and enhancement, database development, data entry, and possible website development/maintenance taking place at the CMH and any offsite vendor locations that have been approved. These activities include but are not limite d to customer service, customer training, digital conversion and enhancement, software development and maintenance and possible website support. Specifically, contractor shall perform Electronic conversion of historical documents  Contractor personnel sh all prepare and scan documents that in many cases are old and delicate and require extreme care in handling. They will also perform data entry tasks, as required. Photo processing of historical documents  Contractor personnel will edit and digitally cl ean and enhance the raw scans of the historic documents in order to obtain the maximum OCR. All relevant information contained in the original document, however, must be conveyed and not be altered. Processing of final document images  Contractor person nel will develop workflow processes that will take the enhanced document images to a final product. Software Development  Contractor personnel will continue the process to maintain and upgrade the MHCSI software, as required. Database Development  Contr actor personnel will develop necessary databases to store and search MHCSI materials transmitted to CMH, as well as other databases required to catalog and search the collections being digitized. MHCSI Help Center  Contractor personnel will provide techn ical support and assistance to MHCSI users on a global level and provide training assistance at specific MHD training rotations/exercises. Website Support  Contractor personnel will provide support in the development of new projects based on the ongoing d igitization effort and maintenance of existing website content, as required. The anticipated period of performance is one Base Year and four Option Years. A single award, firm-fixed type contract is contemplated. This solicitation will be 100 percent set aside for small business. The NAICS Code is 519120 and small business size standard is $6.5. It is anticipated that solicitation number W91WAS-07-R-0077 will be issued on or about 30 Jul 2007. The exact closing date and time of the solicitation will be stated in the solicitation package. It is the sole responsibility of the of feror to review the webpage frequently for any updates/amendments and in case the solicitation is issued prior to 30 Jul 2007. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code and be registered with the Center Contractor R egistration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov.
