Description: The contractor shall replace two 16-inch motor operated butterfly valves and reuse the existing valve actuators; one new 6-inch manually operated butterfly valve will be installed in the sump drain line; one nwe 16-inch manually operated butterfly valves shall be installed in the forebay drain line upstream of the 16-inch tee. The contractor shall be responsible for fitting the valves in these locations with the government's approval. The manifold piping needs to be modified. The contractor may reuse the existing steel pipe or replace it in accordance with the specifications. The Government shall retain possession of the old butterfly valves. The Contractor shall provide all equipment material and labor necessary to perform the following work with the exception of supplying the valve actuators for the 16-inch motor operated valves. Contractor shall be responsible for removing and reinstalling any valves,spool pieces, flanges, couplings, etc. necessary to perform the work in the specifications, including disconnecting and terminating the valve actuator electrical connections. All work shall be done in accordance with Reclamation Safety and Health Standards and OSHA. The more stringent standard shall apply. On-site work shall be completed during the non-irrigation season: November 1, 2007 to March 1, 2008. The disassembly of the piping will not start until the valves are on site. All work shall be completed by March 1, 2008.
