Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make award on a sole-source basis to Geochemical Testing, in Somerset, PA to provide chemical and physical analysis conducted on approximately 125 domestic coal and coal combustion by-product samples from coal-fired power plants in the U.S. Geochemical Testing is the only company currently audited and certified known to meet USGS testing criteria. It is essential that consistency of data sampling is maintained over time. Consistent results can only be achieved by working with one laboratory over the course of this research project. Since Geochemical Testing provided us with our initial data statistics, they are the only laboratory that can meet our needs for this requirement. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. This award will be made on, or about, July 26, 2007. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541380. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published.
