- Reference #: ADP07529 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Contracting Division, Net-Centric Services Branch, Hardware/Software Section (DITCO/PL8322), 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB IL 62225-5406, intends to issue a combined/synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is for the purchase of Cisco Wireless products for DeCA. All quotes must be for BRAND NEW products. Quotes for used, re-furbished, etc items will not be accepted. This requirement is not set-aside. Vendors must be authorized resellers of the product manufacturer. Contract award cannot be made to any contractor not enrolled in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) program. The CCR website is http://www.ccr.gov. DeCA has made a major investment in Cisco?s Wireless Lan Solution Engine (WLSE). Currently, DeCA?s 2500 Cisco access points are managed by WLSE. DeCA requires that any new acquisitions of wireless access points fit into this scheme. No other vendor manufactures a wireless access point that can be managed by WLSE. 3. Description of Supplies/Services. Cisco Aironet 1231 Wireless access point, part number: AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 4. Identification of Statutory Authority. The agency?s requirement is for a specific make and model. Acquisition using other than full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(b), and the regulatory authority for brand name is FAR 16.505(b)(2)(ii). FAR 6.302-1 also applies. 5.
