- This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Conservation Biology Division located in Seattle, WA intends to acquire services for analysis and reduction for assembling a sediment budge for streams of the John Day basin. The period of performance is through September 2009. THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302. INTERESTED PERSONS MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT PROPOSALS. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. HOWEVER, ALL PROPOSALS RECEIVED WITHIN 15 DAYS AFTER DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THIS SYNOPSIS WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS A SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION WITH AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF LESS THAN $100,000. The known source is Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR. The OSU?s Department of Fish and Wildlife have the required knowledge of channel morphology, sediment transport and the geomorphic processes and anthropogenic activities that deliver sediment to streams and the required equipment to perform analysis. They also know the sources of field and remotely-sensed data in the John Day Basin. The OSU?s Department of Fish and Wildlife services are suited for assembling a sediment budge for streams of the John Day basin. All responses must be in writing and may be faxed to (206) 527-7115 attention to Mona Ash. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
