- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to purchase services to analyze and redesign existing Malaria Risk Map software to improve its performance and scalability. Delivery due date shall be three months after award. FOB: Destination. (0001) The interface must be simple and intuitive so that an inexperienced user will be able to efficiently complete a query. (0002) To facilitate this, we expect that the look-and-feel will be consistent with other online mapping applications, e.g. Google Maps and National Geographic Plasma. (0003) Flexibility is key, and the user must have some ability to control the display, and if an error is made, navigate back to an earlier point or to the starting display. (0005) There will also need to be an online help system. (0006) Once developed, the redesigned application will be evaluated by performing usability testing. (0007) The application must also conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, so that it will be accessible to users with disabilities. Issuance of the request for quote (RFQ) and subsequent contract will be strictly subject to the availability of Government funds.
