Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Privatized Corrections Contracting, Office, Washington, D.C., is seeking quotes from sources having the ability to provide community-based outpatient substance abuse treatment services and mental health services within the Chicago, Illinois area defined as follows: The contractor shall be located within eight city blocks of where the federal offenders are housed. The location of the housing facility is 105 South Ashland, Chicago, Illinois 60607. Performance periods under this contract will be for a one-year base period to begin on October 1, 2007 with four (4) possible one-year option periods. Services will end (if all options years are exercised) on September 30, 2012. The quantities provided below are estimates of required services: Base Year (10/1/2007 - 9/30/2008): Estimated Number of Inmates: 85 Intake Assessments: (one per inmate)1 assessment X 9 inmates = 9 total units; Individual Counseling Sessions: (30 minutes = 1 unit) 48 units (per inmate) X 85 inmates = 4,080 units; Group Counseling Sessions (30 minutes = 1 unit) 72 units (per inmate) X 85 inmates = 6,120 units; Family Counseling sessions (30 minutes = 1 unit) 16 units (per inmate) X 9 inmates = 144 units; Family Group counseling session (30 minutes = 1 unit) 16 units (per inmate) X 9 inmates = 144 units; Psychological Testing & Report (one per inmate/year) for 9 inmates = 9 units; Medication Monitoring (one visit includes any and all medication administered by the provider during a 24 hour period or clinical visit) 1 visit X 9 = 9 units; Intensive Outpatient Counseling (30 minutes = 1 unit) 18 units (per inmate) X 9 weeks = 162 weeks; Short-term Residential Treatment 90 days X 4 inmates = 360 days; Therapeutic Community Treatment 180 days X 4 inmates = 720 days; Psychological Evaluation and Report 1 X 9 inmates = 9 total reports; Psychiatric Evaluation and Report 1 X 9 inmates = 9 total reports; Psychotropic Medication 1 per visit X 4 inmates = 4 units. The services shall be in accordance with the Federal Bureau of Prisons Transitional Drug Abuse Treatment (TDAT) Statement of Work dated May 2007. The request for quotation will be available on or after August 6, 2007 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities web site at http: //www.fedbizopps.gov. Instructions for downloading the RFQ are provided at this website; hard copies of the quotation will not be available from the Government. All future information about this acquisition, including quotation amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The estimated closing date for the RFQ is on or about August 31, 2007. The BOP anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price requirements contract. All responsible businesses may submit a quote which will be considered by this agency. Faith-Based and Community -Based Organizations may submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
