Description

The VAMC Spokane, WA intends to award a sole source contract to McKesson Automation, 700 Waterfront Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15237, to provide and maintain 4 Acu-Dose RX Small Main Cabinets and one year maintenance for the Spokane VAMC, 4815 N Assembly St., Spokane, WA 99205. The NAICS code for the procurement is 339112 "Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing" with a size standard of $500 employees. The Government believes that only McKesson's pharmacy distribution equipment is 100% fully compatible with the existing McKesson hardware, software and equipment. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes its equipment is 100% fully compatible with the existing McKesson equipment, may give written notification to the Contracting Officer, VAMC Spokane, WA. 4815 N Assembly St, Spokane, WA., no later than 2:00 PM PDT, July 31, 2007. : Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the above listed address, Rich Hague, Contracting Officer richard.hague@va.gov or faxed to (509) 434-7101. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source award to McKesson Automation.
