Description
The 412th Test Engineering Group (TENG)/Instrumentation Division, Edwards AFB, CA is seeking potential sources capable of providing one each of ADTS 405F, Portable Air Data Test Systems, complete with integral pressure/vacuum supply unit, hand terminal and local display. This is a Brand Name or Equal acquisition. The NAICS CODE is 334519. The following is a description of the ADTS 405F: The ADTS 405F is a transportable flight line unit that is a self-contained portable unit with integral pressure/vacuum supplies, housed in a single military standard enclosure. It is utilized for calibration and simulation on the flight line. The ADTS consists of a rack-mounted unit mounted within a weatherproof flight line case. The flight line case shall have two wheels for ease of transportation and yellow in color. A pump unit is located in the flight case to provide pressure and vacuum supplies for the ADTS. Pressure, vacuum and electrical power from the pump are internally connected to the rear of the rack. The ADTS is supplied as standard with a remote hand terminal for the one-man operation from the flight deck. The unit shall operate from AC power only over the range of 90 to 260 Vac, 47 to 400 Hz. No Vdc operations shall be available. The pump front panel contains fittings for EXT PRESSURE and EXT VACUUM to allow operation from external pressure and vacuum supplies for emergency use. An AUX VACUUM connection shall be provided for static port suction fittings. The operator utilized the Hand Terminal during remote operation conditions. When the Hand Terminal is connected, the ADTS electrically disconnects the Local Keypad and command functions are routed to the Hand Terminal. User commands are entered through the keypad either by direct key presses or by using the function keys in association with style menu displays. The test set shall meet the requirements of RVSM accuracy and shall have a calibration period of not less than 12 months. Operator, maintenance and calibration manuals are required with the ADTS unit. Delivery required for the ADTS unit is 4 weeks ARO or sooner. Transportable military cased version incorporating the ADTS 405 with built-in pressure/vacuum supplies. Control is via local keypad/display or standard remote control terminal. Power Supply: 90 ? 260V ac, 47 to 440 Hz, 500 VA. Digital Interfaces: Standard parallel printer connection accessible via front panel protection cover. IEEE488 optional. Sealing: Weatherproof in operating mode (lid removed). Electro Magnetic Compatibility: to MIL-STD-461D Physical: 35 kg (77lb) and 762 X 320 X 480 mm (30? X 13? X 19?) nominal. Wheels supplied for ease of transport. Pressure/Vacuum Unit: Integral pneumatic supplies (PV 103F). Auxiliary connections for external supplies to boost or drive other equipment. Supply for vacuum hold down static adaptors also provided. Please note that this synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the Portable Air Data Test Systems, complete with integral pressure/vacuum supply unit, hand terminal and local display, listed above. Firms responding to this notice must identify their company?s capabilities to perform the requirements described herein, reference the solicitation number and indicate whether or not you are a small business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. Also, please indicate if this is a commercial or noncommercial item per the definition of the commercial item at FAR 2.101. The information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in August 2007.
