Description

Statement of Work PURPOSE: The purpose of this sources sought is to establish a maintenance/service contract for the SSI X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer in AFRL/MLBT. This instrument is identified as follows: a. SSI'M-Probe, model #E2703, serial # 55519 (AFRL/MLBT, Bldg 654, Rm 123) COMPONENTS COVERED: The maintenance agreement shall cover all components of the system including but not limited to power supplies, electron flood guns, X-ray guns (including but not limited to cathodes, anodes, and filaments), electron analyzers, pumps and pump controllers, data acquisition and control computers/electronics, sample handling holders and manipulation systems, anode cooling water system (including but not limited to filters, pumps, and motors),pressure measurement and control, ion beam sputters system, vacuum chamber, valves and accessories, bake-out system. MAINTENANCE/SERVICES REQUIRED: The maintenance/service contract must provide the following: a. To provide one emergency visit by service personnel to repair and/or calibrate the instrument (SSI M-Probe) so that it performs at the original equipment manufacturer's specifications( Attachment 1) (1) The maintenance visit is to include all 'expenses for a 3-day visit that will include 24 hours labor. (2) Materials and repair parts shall be provided in accordance with "b" below. (3) AFRL/MLBT shall have access to the contractor for unlimited phone consultation and troubleshooting. This is to be set as a one-time cost; not as a billable by the hour expense. b. Materials/repair parts shall be provided to repair/maintain the instruments (a) when needed by the contractor during the maintenance visit*, and (b) when needed by AFRL/MLBT personnel to repair and maintain the instrument. The contractor shall provide monthly statements providing the materials allocation/repair parts expenditures.
