Description
The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, is seeking firms for Rehabilitation of Lift Stations at Mark Twain Lake, Monroe City, MO. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, vehicles, equipment, tools, supervision, and transportatio n for rehabilitation of three existing lift stations; one located at the Indian Creek Recreation Area and two located in the Ray Behrens Recreation Area, and supply and install one new lift station in the John F. Spalding Recreation Area, in accordance wit h specifications. Replacement of equipment and components shall be furnished and installed new. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation. There will be a public bid opening at the address above. The Government will award a contract resulting from t his solicitation to the responsive and responsible bidder whose bid conforms to the solicitation requirements. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237110. The SBA size standard is $31 Mil. This acquisition is being considered for a HUBZone set-aside. If your firm is HUBZone certified and intends to submit a bid on this acquisition you must provide the following information to the Contracting Officer no later than ten (7) days after pub lication of this notice: (a) SBA Certification of HUBZone eligibility; (b) a positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract as a prime contractor; (c) evidence of recent relevant experience in work similar in type and scope to include contrac t numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts with telephone numbers; and (d) evidence of bonding capability up to $250,000.00. In the event two or more responsible HUBZone SB firms positively respond to this synopsis, then the acquisit ion will be set-aside for HUBZone SB firms. Should fewer than two responsible HUBZone contractors respond to this synopsis, the solicitation will be issued unrestricted pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Notice of either HUBZone set-aside or Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program will be provided in the posted IFB. In accordance with FAR 19.1307, the price evaluation adjustment would apply to any HUBZone that responded to the competitive solicitation. Postal service or fax copies are required. Electronic copies are not permitted. The closing date and time for submission of bids will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about August 9, 2007. For changes to t he issue date or any other changes to the information in this synopsis, potential bidders are responsible to check the information at www.fedbizopps.gov./. The solicitation package will be posted on FedBizOpps, which can be accessed at www.fedbizopps.gov./ or the St. Louis Contracting Division Home page at http://www.mvs.usace.army.mil/ct/ct/htm. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests, for the solicitation package will not be honor ed. Potential bidders MUST register at www.fedbizopps.gov./ in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. The Interested Vendors List (IVL) will be activated and may be accessed and printed from the FedBizOpps web site. Prospective b idders who would like their company name included on the IVL list may do so on the Fedbizopps website under IVL. Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and have completed On-Line Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA) in order to receive a contract award.
