Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.603. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. Contractor to supply granite jetty rock according to on site inspector for construction of river embankment and barb construction at White River campground road. Granite stone must be approved by engineer prior to contract award. Rock will vary in size from 15 ton each to 5 ton each, with some rock be smaller in size as needed. Payment will be for actual amount of rock delivered. The contractor shall furnish weight tickets for each delivery made. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offers- Commercial Items. FAR 52.203-6; 52.212-5; 52.519-4; 52.222-3; 52.222-26; 52.222-35; 52.222-36. FAR references assessable at: www.acquisition.gov/far. Price quote needs to include the delivery to White River of the large granite jetty stone. Estimated total tons required is approximately 25,000 tons. The actual sizes of the rocks will vary depending on the inspector and engineer on site. The following is estimated amount of granite needed in the various sizes. 5 to 15 ton rock = approximately 15,000 tons 2 to 5 ton rock = approximately 10,000 tons Delivery is to White River campground road which is located off of highway 410 Southeast of Enumclaw and Crystal Mountain. Enter the park at the White River entrance and take the road approximately 5 miles to the White River campground road. This solicitation is open to hub-zone certified contractors. Award may be made without discussions with the offerors. The NAICS code for this project is 212313 and the small business size is 500 employees. The due date for receipt of offers is July 31, 2007.
