- Description
- The Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, Va 23511-3392 intends procure this requirement as a 100% small business set-aside. The requirement will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall provide hydro seeding services for 28.6 acres on Fort Story in the Drop Zone field on Hospital Road. The services shall include fine grading the area, and liming each sector with 2,000 pounds of lime material per acre. The contractor shall spread over all 28.6 acres, 15-30-15 starter fertilizer using 75 pounds per acre. After fertilizing, the contractor shall hydro-seed (seed and water combined) the entire area with Kentucky fescue 31 grass seed along with annual rye to cover said area of land. Upon completion, the contractor shall provide wood cellouse fiber mulch to prevent loss and erosion of seeds. The contractor shall provide this service to Naval Amphibious Base, Norfolk, VA 23511. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 13 July 2007 by downloading the documents at the NECO website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561730. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
