Description
NAICS Code: 339950 This is a sources sought notice only. This is not a solicitation announcement. No contract will be awarded from this announcement, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. This is market research, for written information only, to identify suppliers who possess the capabilities to produce the ENERGY STAR plaques as specified below. In particular the U.S. EPA's Office of Air & Radiation (OAR) is interested in potential Small Businesses (SBs), Non 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs), SBA 8(a) Program Businesses, Hubzone Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) and/or Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs), but all submissions will be reviewed. In addition, if an interested party currently holds a GSA schedule to produce plaques that fit these requirements, please provide the GSA schedule number. The Commercial and Industrial Branch (C/I) of the Climate Protection Partnerships Division (CPPD) intends to procure plaques to award to buildings or plants for qualifying for the ENERGY STAR program. The ENERGY STAR plaque that is currently being produced is bronze, and a picture of the plaque may be viewed by visiting the following weblink: http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?fuseaction=labeled_buildings.showBuildingSearch Below are specifications for six material options, of which one will be selected and produced. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339950. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COST PROPOSAL. Interested parties may submit a brief capability statement, no more than five (5) pages, demonstrating how they plan to meet this requirement, for any or all of the six format options. Standard brochures will not be considered. The capability statement should include the following: (1) Name of vendor; (2) Contact information (address, telephone, facsimile, e-mail, website address); (3) Technical description of ability to meet the requirement (clearly specifying which format option(s) your company is capable of producing); (4) typical lead-times for the products to be produced (addressing production capacity); (5) DUNS number, business size and classification. Businesses must be registered on Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive a contract with the Federal Government. Businesses may submit a hard copy response via U. S. Mail or hand carry/courier/overnight carrier, see addresses below, no later than August 6, 2007. No contract will be awarded on the basis of responses received.
