Description
The purpose of this modification to RFQ-TX-07-00058 is to provide answers to questions for this RFQ. 1. Is there an incumbent or preferred contractor? This is a new contract to coach our senior managers. If so, who is it? 2. Is this a follow-on to an existing contract or a re-bid/re-write of a previous contract? Please see answer above. If so, who had the existing/previous contract? 3. If a previous contractor existed, is there any reason for you to believe that this contractor would not be bidding this RFP? This question has very little to do with clarification of and objectives of the Statement of Work. 4. What is your budget for this work? It is not EPA?s policy to ask for request for quotes from vendors and then tell the vendor our budget. It is the vendor?s responsibility to review the Statement of Work and provide the best quote for the work. 5. Is this work effort funded? Yes. If so, for how long? This contract is a two year contract that will expire on September 30, 2009. This contract can be extended beyond 2009 for one year if EPA wishes to continue the contract. In that case the contract will expire in 2010 if the option is executed. 6. The Project Description states ??10 senior management team of EPA Region 6?.? Is this one team of 10 people, or ten teams of ?? people? If the latter, how many people in a team? The executive coaching will include 10 managers from the senior staff. 7. Please explain how you want us to quote a price to you. The SF18 gives a Quantity of 1 and a Unit of a year; what price do you want? For example, Executive Coaching can take many sessions, some of varying lengths, depending on the person being coached. Do you want a ?one session? price, for one time during the year, or an hourly labor rate, or what? How do we calculate the number of sessions in an entire year? Please extend your answer to include Group Coaching, 2-day Training, Presentations and Meetings, and Brown Bag sessions. One-on-one coaching should be billed on a hourly rate. One-on-one coaching sessions are one hour and group coaching sessions can range from 1-4 hours. 8. How many people do you anticipate will participate in a 2-day retreat? 16-20. How many retreats per year? Approximately 4-6 retreats per year. 9. How often will you plan to have consultant presentations and meetings with management? Meetings and presentations will be provided to members of senior staff and ocassionally the vendor may be asked to conduct a presentation to EPA's management. The vendor may be asked to provide approximately 4-6 presentations to the EPA's management chain. How long do you anticipate these sessions will last? Approximately 1-2 hours. 10. How often will you plan to have brown bag luncheons? The brown bag lunch sessions can range from anywhere to 3-12 times per year. EPA will provide the books and the books will be chosen in consultation with EPA's senior management and the executive coach. How long do you anticipate these sessions will last? The expected length of sessions is approximately 1-2 hours. How many attendees to you anticipate averaging at a session? 10-16. 11. How many Group Coaching sessions do you anticipate over the course of a year? Approximately 2-6 sessions. 12. What is the design of the EPA 360 instrument - number of categories and headings, and total number of questions? EPA's in house 360 instrument has 48 questions and is tied to the Region's Core Values (STOCKCAR - Service, Taking Initiative, Open Communication, Commitment & Vision, Knowledge, Character, Accountability and Risk Taking). 13. Is the coach expected to provide the guidelines for the development planning process, e.g. forms, etc.? The coach is expected to provide some guidelines for the development planning process and to work closely with EPA?s senior managers in developing this process.
