- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for CNC WIRE EDM. Requirements and/or specifications are as follows: 1)Vendor is to include cost of shipping to GSFC, Greenbelt, MD. 2)Vendor is to allot for shipping and trade-in value of a Robofil 600 machine in fair to poor condition). 3)NASA will be responsible for rigging in the Wire EDM and rigging out the trade-in machine. 4)NASA will NOT be responsible for shipping costs of either machine 5)The vendor will be responsible for preparing the WIRE EDM machine to fit through a seventy-two inch wide doorway located at Goddard Space Flight Center. A vendor's qualified technician will also re-assemble the machine complete at installation. 6)NASA will have the right to cancel this machine order if the machine does not fit through the seventy-two inch wide doorway and NASA is not responsible for any costs incurred if the machine does not fit through the seventy-two inch wide doorway. EDM Specs: ? CNC Wire EDM Table Size:36.6" x 26.8" X Axis - 25.6" YAxis - 15.7" Z Axis - 16.5" Tank Size - 44.9" x 39.4" Wire Sizes - 0.004", 0.006", 0.008", 0.010" & 0.012" Maximum Workpiece Size - 36.6" x 26.8" x 15.7" ? High Taper Set (wire guide diameter .010in (0.25mm) Include, C guide .010in (.25mm)(1 set .), 5 kg wire spool, and splash guard ? Diamond Wire Guide .004in (0.10mm). 2pcs requiremnt ? Training On-site at time of Installation with Two additional days of on-site training. ? System 3R B-Axis With Macro Stainless Steel Chuck and Air Control Switch and Interface ? 3 Year Preventive Maintenance Plan Preventive Maintenance Plan to include: Labor hours per year, replacement of normal annual wear parts. Price must include travel expenses and travel time. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and will be awarded under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9.
