- Pre-Post Summary Solicitation 162640-07-A-0147 Post July 25, 2007 Response August 24, 2007 The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals for the Chicago IL, O?Hare Airport Mail Center project at 11600 Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60666-9993. This project will involve selective demolition of portions of the existing modified bituminous roof membrane, roof insulation, heat and smoke vents, and sheet metal coping, flashings and expansion joint covers. Rigid insulation will be provided at areas of selective demolition. Supplier will provide a fully adhered TPO single ply roof system over existing roof membrane (approximately 380,000 square feet, suppliers are required to field verify during inspection), a parapet edge coping system, sheet metal flashing and copings, and replace of selected ventilator housings covers. Minority owned and Women-owned Business participation is encouraged. Construction cost range: $1,500,000 to $1,600,000. Construction completion time will be 120 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. In addition to price, evaluation criteria will be considered. The contractor will be scored and ranked by the following factors. Past Performance (up to 50 points); contractor will be scored on the information submitted that adequately demonstrates successful completion of projects of a similar scope and magnitude as that of the proposed work. Project Management Plan/Approach(see qualification statement attachment); six factors will be totaled to the potential of (60 points),the project schedule (10 points), proposed project team and company organization (10 points), WBE/MBE subcontracting plan (10 points), owned equipment (10 points), quality control plan/team (10 points), and experience modification ratio (EMR) (10 points). Financial Capability will be (Pass/Fail). A pre-proposal conference will be held onsite Wednesday, August 08, 2007 at 11600 Irving Park Rd, Chicago IL @ 1:00 p.m. CST. Proposal due date is Friday, August 24, 2007 by 3:00 p.m. CST. Solicitation documents will be available on or about July 25, 2007 Specifications will be provided for a non-refundable cost range of $100.00 to $250.00 varying on size of solicitation.
