- Industry Day Announcement: High Capacity Communications Capability (HC3) Program, Date: 15 August 2007, 0800-1630, Location: Gibbs Hall, Building 2000, Tinton Avenue, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07702, Sponsor: Product Manager, Extremely High Frequency Sat ellite systems (PdM ESS), Purpose: PdM ESS will brief interested sources on the HC3 requirements. The HC3 provides high capacity, multi-band, multi-mode connectivity using current and future satellites. HC3 will support wideband and protected ground tact ical communications in a Communications At-The-Halt (CATH) configuration, using Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS, X-Band), Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS, X and Ka-Band), Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF, Q-Band), as well as numerous comme rcial satellites (C, X, and Ku-Band). Subsequently, HC3 will upgrade its CATH terminal and WIN-T Transmission Subsystems with Transformational Satellites (TSATs) higher capacity and protected communications capabilities. HC3 is a mission critical capab ility that will bridge the battlefield digital divide by providing unprecedented Warfighter access and full reachback capability as a part of the Global Information Grid (GIG) and evolving FORCEnet, LandWarNet and C2 Constellation architectures.
