- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of Blue Coat WebFilter software licenses, hardware, engineering services, maintenance and support, installation, and training manufactured by Blue Coat Systems, Inc., Sunnyvale, California, in support of an Internet filtering solution for multiple FAA Internet Access Points. The FAA intends to solicit and negotiate only with Blue Coat Systems' Channel Partners, in accordance with Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, Single Source Selection. Blue Coat Systems' WebFilter is used to perform Internet filtering currently at the FAA Washington Headquarters and the Eastern Region. This procurement will standardize the type of hardware, software, and support of the product (Blue Coat) throughout the Agency. The FAA conducted a market survey and the results of this survey support our determination to solicit and negotiate with only Blue Coat Systems' Channel Partners. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a request for proposals.
