Description

Description for Presolicitation Notice for VA-256-07-RP-0133 Solid Waste Refuse and Disposal Services: Total Small Business Set-aside. This is a commercial requirement item acquisition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, 400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS intend to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for Solid Waste Refuse and Disposal Service in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, and schedules of the solicitation herein. The proposed contract will be for a base period of October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008 with two (3) option years exercised at the Government's discretion. A Requirements Firm Fixed Price with single award is proposed at this time. The NAICS code is 562111 and the small business size is $11.5 million. This acquisition is being issued as a total small business set-aside (see note 1). The RFP will be available on www.fedbizopps.gov under Department of Veterans Affairs on or around Aug 8, 2007. Potential offerors are encouraged to use this web site to obtain a copy of the RFP in lieu of requesting a paper copy. Request for paper copies must be in writing and faxed to (228)523-4324 attention: Kim Shelton or emailed to Kim.Shelton@va.gov. All requests must include the RFP number, requestor's name, address, phone number, fax number, and an email address. By submitting a proposal, the Offeror acknowledges the Government requirement to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of any contract or purchase order. Information about CCR registration may be found at www.ccr.gov. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Award will be made on an all or none basis.
