Description
PRE-SOLICIATION SYNOPSIS for a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set Aside for the Army Logistics Management College (ALMC) at Fort Lee, VA. Support consists of Instructors to conduct the Combat Service Support Automation Manage ment Office (CSSAMO) training, both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). This support addresses the recently modified specific course, CSSAMO  Logistics Systems (ALMC-TA), via Mobile Training Te ams (MTTs) at the request of Army units. The contractor shall provide the qualified functional and technical personnel, technical services, materials, and instructional support required to support five training modules. The contracted instructors shall pr ovide expertise in project management, logistics systems operations, training development, and implementation. The major emphasis is on hands-on activities using actual hardware and software currently in use throughout the Army. The five modules from the course are as follows: Module A: Introduction to CSSAMO Operations, Module B: CSSAMO STAMIS Support, Module C: CSS Networking, Module D: CSSAMO Support Operations, and Module E: CSSAMO STSMIS Gunnery. The number of course offerings will be dependent upon requests from the field. Course offerings will be scheduled according to customer requests. The Government anticipates the minimum number of course offerings taught will be 4 (estimated one per quarter), with an anticipated maximum of 16 (estimated four per quarter), taught concurrently under separate task orders. However, the actual number of modules taught may significantly exceed 16 per year. Accordingly, offerors must be capable of accommodating both significant upward shifts and surges in demand fo r module training. For the purpose of small businesses, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 611699 All Other Miscellaneous Schools and Instruction (size standard of $6.5 million), and the Federal Supply Classification Code (FSC) i s U099, Other Education and Training Services. The acquisition will be for a base and two (2) options. The solicitation, Request for Quote (RFQ) number W911S0-07-R-0013, will be released on or about 3 August 2007 with an anticipated award date on or about 30 September 2007. All responsible, interested parties should respond to the solicitation announcement, once posted, by submitting a quotation which shall be considered by Northern Region Contracting Center (NRCC).
