- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR OPTICAL WAVELENGTH METER. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Question 1: How fixed is the requirement for absolute wavelength accuracy? Answer 1: The requirement for absolute wavelength accuracy is hereby revised to ?0.5ppm. Question 2: Is there a required specification for measurement repeatability? Answer 2: The measurement repeatability shall be better than ?0.25 parts per million in IR range. Question 3: How fixed is the requirement for operational wavelength range? Would there be a benefit for operation at longer wavelengths such as 4.0-5.0 um? Answer 3: For IR range, it is desirable if the measurement range can be extended to 1.5-5.0 micron. The requirement for the measurement up to 4 micron is required per the specifications. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on July 30, 2007.
