Description
Question: Request for clarification and explanation of the term ?pilot? in the Statement of Work. Answer: In order to receive a vendor-issued certificate in change management, the student will have to successfully complete and fully participate in the three-day program. It is the intent that the vendor will issue the certificate during the final section of the class. Receipt of this certification should mean that the student will be well positioned to lead change or be an active participant in the aspects of change resulting from a new process or system within his or her division or organization. In order to teach methods of managing change, the instructor will use actual research and best practice examples from public and private sector organizations which have managed change resulting from the introduction of new processes and systems. As teaching aids, the instructor will introduce and explain valuable user-friendly tools such as real-life examples, proven methodologies and templates which will help the student learn how to walk through and manage the change process. The instructor will share common tasks which best practice organizations have used to help manage change. As stated in the SOW, prior to the start of the class, students will be asked to summarize a project on which they are currently involved or an upcoming project in which they will have a leadership role. Throughout the three-day session, the students will be expected to use this project as a pilot to help them understand the various aspects of change which accompany the introduction of new processes or systems and help them learn how to manage it with great success.
