Description
Survey Grade Real Time Differential Global Positioning System Solicitation No. 2007-4431-014 The USDA, ARS, Mid South Area, intends to procure a Topcom GR-3 System, Topcon Wireless FC-200 controller, TopSurve Prow GPS+ and Topcon Tools Rtk Module w/UBS Key, field accossories, or equivilant ?Survey Grade Real Time Differential Global Positioning System? and training for four users. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 2007-4431-014 is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following: Specifications for survey grade real time differential global positioning system (RTK) to facilitate topographic surveying of fields and watersheds in CEAP and related erosion process, control, and prediction studies. Must allow data collection at a selectable rate from 1 to 5 Hz and have hardware capable of being upgraded to 20 Hz Must have real time RTK accuracy of 10 mm+ 1 ppm (horizontal) and 15 mm+1ppm (vertical) Must have the ability to track signals from GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo satelliltes (if and when available) Must have the ability to read L1, L2 carriers and be upgradable to L5 carrier (if and when available) Must be able to use the ARS radio frequency (411.375 MHz) for communication between the base station and the rover Must be compatible with existing Topcon RTK-GPS and Total Station surveying instruments and software and must be able to combine data from all of these equipment types in the same survey job allowing the user to keep entire job on the same coordinate system Equipment Line Items: UNIT NO. Bid prices shall include all necessary labor, parts, materials, and transportation necessary to delivered FOB Destination a survey grade real time differential global positioning system to USDA, ARS, 598 McElroy Dr., Oxford, MS 38655. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
