Description
The Gifford Pinchot National Forest is soliciting prospective contractors for Road 20 repair work. This project repairs 9 sites located on Forest road 20 that were damaged by flood water. Work will include 1,700 linear feet of roadway reconditioning, importation and placement of 1,018 cubic yards of crushed rock, and installation of two 36? diameter culverts with a total length of 120 linear feet. Estimated start work date is September 15, 2007. Estimated contract time is 60 calendar days after the issuance of Notice to Proceed. Project location: Road 20, Smith Creek drainage, WA. Driving Direction: Beginning of 20 road is at milepost 127 on US Highway 12. That is 12.6 miles East of Randle, Washington and 23.6 miles West of Packwood, Washington. From 20 road travels South going up the Smith Creek drainage. This project will be set-aside for Service Disable Veteran Owned Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $25,000 and $100,000. Payment protection is required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. The estimated date of issuance for the solicitation is August 13, 2007. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//. Prospective contractors and subcontractors are requested to self-register below to receive notification of any postings concerning this project. The solicitation, and any amendments, will be made available at this Internet site. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Forest Service.
