- ****THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE**** National Security Technologies, (NSTec), Special Technologies Laboratory (STL) is known for its ability to rapidly respond to problems and challenges in national security. To maintain and nurture this ability, STL has a need to expand its custom materials synthesis capabilities. As such NSTec is looking for sources to solicit proposals by domestic chemistry and materials labs to supplement these functions. Specifically, we are requesting information from companies with the following capabilities, experience and track record of success: -Rapid response formulations and synthesis -Willingness to travel to Santa Barbara, California -High temperature (up to 1800C) and high pressure (60,000 psig) synthesis. -Nanoparticle synthesis -Fluorescent and Absorbing dyes -Inorganic Phosphor synthesis (example; garnets doped with lanthanides) -Cholesteric liquid crystals -Mesoporous silica -Sol-gel processing -Thin film coatings -Must have laboratory facilities -Thermal analysis (TGA and DSC) -Inert-atmosphere handling capabilities (Vac line and Glove Box) -Report writing -US Citizenship Domestic companies interested in bidding on this requirement must submit their company qualifications which demonstrate they have the capabilities, experience and can provide all of the above services.
