- This noticed is being publicized in accordance with the Federal Acquisitoin Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officers to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000.00. Further in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 is the intent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to make award to Harris Corporation Wireless Products Group. The Office of Investigative Technology (ST) has a requirement for an IDEN upgrade for the Stingray along with training of the new equipment for four (4) users two (2) days - twelve (12) hours. Harris Corporation Wireless Products Group is the original manaufacturer of the Stingray and holds the proprietary rights to the equipment and upgrades utilized by DEA. Therefore, Harris Corporation Wireless Products Group is determined to be the only responsible source to provide the necessary upgrades, training and guarantee the required result this instrument will supply.
