- Description
- The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to perform Project 655-07-102 Upgrade Elevators at the Aleda E Lutz VA Medical Center, Saginaw, Michigan. Successful contractor shall provide complete furnishing of all engineering services, project supervision, site supervision and mechanics labor, materials and elevator components, equipment and tools for replacement, renovation, and upgrades for existing elevators [Passenger Elevator P-1, Passenger Elevator P-2 (one group)] and [Service Elevator S-1 (single elevator)] in Building No. 1 to include all work as required by drawings and specifications. Work involves multiple phases with a completion time of 390 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range for this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238290 ($13 million). This procurement is set-aside 100% for award to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. Offers from other than service-disabled veteran owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. Solicitation package will be available on or before August 10, 2007. A pre-construction conference is scheduled for August 16, 2007 at 10 a.m. Building 1, room 71. While the site visit is not mandatory, you are highly encouraged to attend. This solicitation will be available to upload on or about August 10, 2007 at the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper solicitations will not be issued. Drawings are also available at the website. Firms unable to retrieve drawings must submit a written request including Company Name, Address, Telephone and Facsimile numbers. Email requests may be sent to Ms. Soule at the email address above or faxed to (989) 321-4957. Telephone requests will not be honored. Amendments will not be mailed, but will be posted at this website as well. In order to receive e-mail notification of any new amendments that have been issued and posted, you must register to "Receive Notification." Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for bid opening. Bids are due no later than 1 pm local time on September 6, 2007 in Building 1, Room 71, Aleda E Lutz, VA Medical Center, 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. Interested offerors are reminded that in addition to being registered in Central Contractor Registry, (at www.ccr.gov) all offerors MUST be registered in VetBiz.gov before award can be made.
