Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, F1R31B7204A003 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-12. This procurement is full and open NAICS code is 561621. The following commercial items are requested in this solicitation: First-In Fire Station Alerting System OR EQUAL. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, material, supervision, cabling, for the alerting system at the new fire station at Dyess AFB, Texas. The work shall include providing installation (excluding conduit), and training for the zoned alerting control system. All equipment, dorm remote centers must be connected by low voltage cabling provide data and power through one cable without having additional wiring for external power. The system must be programmed by individual for each bunkroom, without having to report to a single message center. The zoned alerting system will be distributed throughout the fire station dormitory to alert only those personnel who are pre-selected to respond to particular types of emergencies. The system will be mounted next to each bed in the dormitory: this module emits dispatch audio awakening only the personnel needed for the call. Features will include night vision lighting and adjustable volume levels, day and night volume levels, alphanumeric display and programmable zone control. System must be upgradeable for future expansion to allow additional messaging through other means to include television in station for visual alerting. The contractor shall provide an operation/demonstration of the new alerting system. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for Friday, 3 August, 2007 at 1000 hrs. FOB: Destination for delivery to 7 CES/CEF Fire Department, 734 Third St., DYESS AFB, TEXAS 79607. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items. Quotes will be evaluated and awarded based on price alone. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, offerors must be registered in the Online Representations and Certifications system at http://orca.bpn.gov. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items.
