- The 77th Aeronautical Systems Group (77 AESG), 648th Aeronautical Systems Squadron (648 AESS), Brooks City-Base AFB, TX is sponsoring the Air Force Clothing SPM Industry Days 2-Day event for prospective Prime Offerors and Subcontractors 28 - 29 August 2007. This event is the first occurrence of what will be monthly Clothing SPM Industry Days held by the Air Force. This event will provide prospective offerors an overview of the Air Force Clothing Program. For this first Industry Day event, time will be allotted for the offerors to present information on fire-resistant, thermal, insulating, and waterproof materials and undergarments, (t-shirts, socks, and other insulation materials for apparel) as well as fire-resistant, waterproof, cold-climate, and flight boots. The September Industry Day event will cover different topic areas, as will each successive Industry Day event. Plenty of open parking is available within close walking distance to the building. Registration for this event is required through e-mail at SPMClothing@brooks.af.mil no later than 1600 CDT, 17 August. There is a restriction to three participants per company for all event sessions. It is recommended that a program manager and an engineer be present to field questions. Any non-U.S. citizens who are attending must be identified in the registration e-mail. On 20 August (no later than 1600 CDT) a schedule of the one-on-one sessions will be posted on FedBizOpps listing a time, date, and location for each session. It is the intent to have prime offerors and partners meet with the Clothing team. Advanced copies of questions are desired for the open and/or one-on-one sessions. Please send these questions to SPMClothing@brooks.af.mil and ensure ?Industry Days Question? is in the subject line of the email. Offerors will be permitted to conduct demonstrations, which must be incorporated within their presentation time. Participants will need to make their own hotel reservations. Also, participants will have to plan for their own voice and email communications as it will not be available on-site. The event on-site check-in table opens at 0800. Participants will be required to wear an issued name tag in clear sight throughout the event. Handicap access is available. The lunch break will require participants to exit the event facility in order to obtain a meal in the local vicinity on their own. Installation Access Requirements: While you must be registered prior to attending the event, there are no specific requirements in order to gain access to the base. Please obey all safety, security, or protocol requirements of the event sessions facilities. The U.S. Government will not reimburse any Party attending or participating for costs incurred for this event.
