- THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS The 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement for maintenance support service contract for the DEOMI EOSI GLAS electronic library catalog. The period of performance is 1 October 07 through 30 September 2008. Four one-year options may be awarded. This is a Sole Source with Electronic Online Systems Intl. (EOS Intl.) IAW FAR 6.302-1. EOS Intl. is the only source capable of fulfilling the governments requirement which is a logical follow on to a requirement that has been in place for over ten years. EOS Intl. is the sole provider for the GLAS system software. Changing to a different company at this time would require replacing all software modules with another company?s proprietary software in addition to the cost of migrating over 17,500 cataloging records to new software. This would require an extremely large sum of money and therefore would not be cost effective for the government. No solicitation document exists at this time. This item/service utilizes Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 7379 with a business size of $23.0M and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 541519. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that EOS Intl. is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
