- The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron at Hurlburt Field FL intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Litton Systems, Inc., Laser Systems for Line Item 0001: Test, Evaluate, and Repair as necessary Mark VII Laser Range Finder, Part Number: MK700000-29, Serial Number: 0384. Will not range. Line Item 0002: Test, Evaluate, and Repair as necessary Mark VII Laser Range Finder, Part Number: MK700000-29, Serial Number: 0324. Will not range. Line Item 0003: Test, Evaluate, and Repair as necessary Mark VII Laser Range Finder, Part Number: MK700000-29, Serial Number: 0474. Battery cover hinge broken. Line Item 0004: Test, Evaluate, and Repair as necessary Mark VII Laser Range Finder, Part Number: MK700000-29, Serial Number: 0369. No display and new eyecup required. Line Item 0005: Test, Evaluate, and Repair as necessary Mark VII Laser Range Finder, Part Number: MK700000-29, Serial Number: 0377. Loose internal parts, Can?t switch between night and day, no display. Line Item 0006: Test, Evaluate, and Repair as necessary Mark VII Laser Range Finder, Part Number: MK700000-29, Serial Number: 0546. Line Item 0007: Return Shipping and Handling for 8 Units. This award is unrestricted and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 335999 with a small business size standard of 1000 Employees. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i)(A). The government believes that Litton Systems, Inc., Laser Systems is the only known source that has the patented, proprietary, commercial product and design expertise to provide this repair. This notice is NOT a request for quote. However, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation in sufficient detail to allow for evaluation of the proposal product for acceptability and comparability or as an equal product to the specifications listed above shall be considered by the agency at or before 4:00 PM (central), 03 Aug 2007. Any information received will only be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. The contract award number is FA4417-07-P-0184 in the amount of NOT TO EXCCED $70,000.00.
